Job Description:
As a Full Stack JavaScript Engineer, you would be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support various financial applications and services. You would work on both the front-end and back-end components of the company's technology stack, ensuring the seamless integration of user interfaces, databases, and business logic.
Responsibilities:
- Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other related technologies. Implement user interfaces with a focus on usability, performance, and accessibility.
- Front-End Development: Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Back-End Development: Develop server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js. Implement APIs and integrate with databases, third-party services, and internal systems. Ensure robustness, security, and scalability of the back-end infrastructure.
- Database Management: Design and optimize database structures, queries, and data models. Work with SQL or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Testing and Debugging: Write automated unit tests and perform integration testing to ensure the reliability and stability of the software. Debug and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance code quality.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance improvements to enhance the speed and efficiency of the applications. Monitor and analyze system performance using tools like New Relic or Datadog.
- Security and Compliance: Adhere to security best practices and industry regulations to ensure data protection and privacy. Implement appropriate security measures and participate in security audits and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related front-end technologies.
- Experience with time series data.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks like React and React Native.
- Proficiency in server-side JavaScript development using Node.js and Express.js.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration of third-party services.
- Understanding of software development best practices, including version control (Git), testing, and code documentation.
- Familiarity with financial concepts and the ability to work with financial data is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet project deadlines.
Salary:
This position will initially be a contract position at $4-5k usd a month + equity package, depending on the skill level. After 6 months it will move to a full time employee position with benefits.
